Configure ReplayPRO to match your business needs. This guide covers all available settings and how to use them.
Recording Settings
Enable Visitor Recording
Toggle visitor recording on or off. When enabled, the app records visitor sessions on your store.
- On - Sessions are recorded (default)
- Off - No new sessions are recorded; existing data remains accessible
Enable Video Recordings
Control whether session replays include video recordings.
- On - Full video replays are captured using rrweb technology
- Off - Visitor actions are tracked but without video playback
This is useful if you want to reduce storage usage while still tracking visitor behavior.
Integration Method
ReplayPRO supports two integration methods:
Theme App Extensions (Recommended)
The modern way to integrate apps with Shopify themes. Benefits include:
- Better performance
- Improved reliability
- Easier management through theme editor
- No script tag conflicts
To enable Theme App Extensions:
- Go to Settings > Integration Method
- Click Open Theme Settings
- Find the ReplayPRO Recorder block
- Enable the block
- Return to ReplayPRO and click Check Status
Legacy Script Tags
Older stores may still use Script Tag integration. While functional, we recommend upgrading to Theme App Extensions for better performance.
To upgrade:
- Click Switch to Theme App Extensions in Settings
- Follow the steps to enable the recorder in your theme
Maximum Page View Recording Time
Set the maximum duration for recording a single page view:
- 5 minutes - Shorter recordings, lower storage
- 10 minutes - Balanced setting
- 15 minutes - Extended recordings
- 30 minutes - Maximum recording time
Longer recordings capture more visitor behavior but use more storage.
Plan & Limits
View your current subscription details:
- Current Plan - Your active plan name
- Monthly Limit - Number of pageviews included
- Captured This Month - Progress toward your limit
- Remaining - Pageviews left this billing period
Upgrade Plan
Need more pageviews? Click Upgrade Plan to see available options.
Reset Limit
Available on Basic and higher plans. Resets your monthly counter by deleting all recorded data. Use with caution - this action cannot be undone.
Account Settings
Track Items in Shopping Cart
Record which products visitors add to their cart during sessions. Useful for understanding purchase intent.
Track Visitor Orders
Link completed orders to visitor sessions for conversion tracking. Shows which visitors became customers.
Mask All Input Content
Hide all text entered in form fields during video playback. Protects visitor privacy by masking:
- Email addresses
- Phone numbers
- Addresses
- Any text input
Mask Customer Details on Order Page
Hide personal information on order confirmation pages:
- Customer names
- Shipping addresses
- Contact information
Currency & Conversions
ReplayPRO automatically converts all revenue data to your store's currency for consistent reporting.
- Exchange rates update daily
- Minor variations may occur due to rate fluctuations
Timezone
Shop Timezone
Automatically synced from your Shopify store settings. Used as the default for all time-based features.
Analytics Timezone
Override the timezone used for analytics filtering:
- "Today" and "Yesterday" calculations
- Date range filters
- Activity timestamps
Select a specific timezone or leave empty to use your shop's default.
Saving Changes
Changes are saved automatically when you modify settings. Look for the Save Bar at the bottom of the screen to confirm changes are pending, then click Save to apply.
