Visitor Subscriptions

Get notified when specific visitors return to your store. Visitor subscriptions help you track important visitors and follow up at the right time.

Overview

When you subscribe to a visitor, you'll receive an email notification whenever they start a new session on your store. This is useful for:

  • Following up with high-value prospects
  • Monitoring specific customer behavior
  • Tracking returning VIP customers
  • Observing specific visitor patterns

How It Works

  1. Subscribe - Add a visitor to your subscription list
  2. Wait - Continue with your daily activities
  3. Get Notified - Receive an email when the visitor returns
  4. Take Action - View their session, watch recordings, or reach out

Subscribing to a Visitor

To subscribe to a visitor:

  1. Go to Visitors
  2. Click on a visitor to open their profile
  3. Click Subscribe button
  4. Confirm the subscription

You'll now receive notifications when this visitor returns.

  • Direct link - Quick access to their profile

Best Practices

Who to Subscribe To

Good candidates:

  • Visitors with high cart values who didn't purchase
  • Returning visitors showing strong purchase intent
  • VIP customers you want to monitor
  • Visitors you've communicated with

Avoid subscribing to:

  • All visitors (use analytics instead)
  • Visitors you've already blocked
  • Bot or suspicious traffic

Managing Notification Volume

To avoid notification overload:

  • Be selective about subscriptions
  • Regularly review and clean up subscriptions
  • Unsubscribe from converted customers
  • Focus on high-priority visitors

Acting on Notifications

When you receive a notification:

  1. View their profile - See their current session and history
  2. Watch their recording - Understand their behavior
  3. Consider outreach - If appropriate, engage with personalized service
  4. Update your strategy - Learn from patterns

Limits

There's no hard limit on subscriptions, but we recommend:

  • Keep subscriptions under 100 for manageable notifications
  • Review subscriptions monthly
  • Remove inactive visitors
