Changelog

Stay up to date with the latest improvements and new features in ReplayPRO.

May 5, 2026

Improvements

  • Recordings Open in a Modal - Watch Recording now opens the session player in an in-page modal instead of navigating to a separate page. Prev/Next Session and page-view switches happen inline without leaving the visitor profile, and closing the modal keeps your scroll and filter state intact
  • Redesigned Session Player Controls - The recording player has a custom controls bar: play/pause with a clear primary button, ±10s skip, a wider seekable progress bar with hover preview, monospace mm:ss / mm:ss time indicator, speed pills (1x / 2x / 4x / 8x), skip-inactive toggle, and fullscreen
  • Adaptive Player Sizing - The player now scales to your screen so playback controls stay visible without scrolling. On mobile, the modal fills the screen and the player fits the viewport width
  • Correct Session Numbering - Session numbers now match between the visitor's session list and the recording player title — both use chronological order from the visitor's first to most recent session, even when sessions occurred in the same minute or month

Bug Fixes

  • Smoother Page & Session Transitions - Switching between page views inside a recording, or between sessions in the modal, no longer collapses the player area. A blurred overlay with a spinner appears in place during the transition while the next segment loads
  • Mobile: Back Button on Visitor Profile - On screens 720px and below, the visitor profile now shows a Back button in the actions area instead of Exclude Visitor, so navigation is one tap away

New Features

  • Crawlers Tab - A new "Crawlers" tab on the Visitors page shows bot and crawler traffic separately from real shoppers. Two sub-views: a per-bot summary (sessions, unique pages, pageviews, last seen) and a paginated list of recent crawler hits with country, IP, and page. Each session is identified by name — Googlebot, Storebot-Google, GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, Bingbot, AhrefsBot, FacebookBot and many more — so you can see exactly who's crawling your store

Improvements

  • Bots Excluded From Analytics & Plan Limits - Bot sessions are now stored separately and never appear in your dashboards, Visitors list, or the session counter that counts toward your plan limit. If Google Storebot or AI crawlers (GPTBot, ClaudeBot) previously inflated your numbers — including unwanted "Add to cart" and "Almost checkout" entries from Googlebot scanning checkout URLs — that's now fixed
  • Wider Bot Coverage - Bot detection now matches against an actively-maintained crawler database with 1000+ patterns including modern AI agents (anthropic-ai, ChatGPT-User, PerplexityBot, Bytespider, meta-externalagent) and emerging search crawlers, replacing the older detector that missed several recent bots

New Features

  • Visitor Engagement Levels - Each visitor on the Visitors page is now classified as Low, Medium, or High engagement based on their actual behavior — time on site, pages browsed, form input, and cart/purchase activity. A new "Engagement" column shows the level at a glance, and a new filter lets you narrow the list to High-intent visitors so you can focus follow-ups, retargeting, and outreach where it matters
  • Smarter High-Engagement Detection - High engagement now requires real activity, not just a cart in the URL. This means automated checkout-URL crawlers (e.g. Google's Storebot scanning your store) no longer falsely appear as High-engagement visitors, keeping the list focused on real shoppers

Improvements

  • Consistent Visitor IDs - The short visitor ID shown across the app (Visitors table, profile page, recording player, notification subscriptions) now uses the same first 4 characters everywhere. The same visitor reads the same in every place, making it easier to match records across pages

Bug Fixes

  • Add Rule Button in Access Control - Fixed an issue where the "Add rule" submit button was missing from the Add Rule modal footer for some merchants, leaving only the Cancel button visible
  • Back Navigation From Session Recording - Fixed back-button navigation: returning from a recording to the visitor profile, then back again, now correctly returns to the Visitors list (previously sent merchants back into the recording player)

April 2, 2026

Improvements

  • Add to Cart Rate on Dashboard - The dashboard now shows Add to Cart Rate with day-over-day comparison, giving you a clear view of your sales funnel: Visitors → Add to Cart → Conversion
  • Navigation Update - Live Map is now accessible directly from the main navigation menu for quicker access
  • Dashboard Quick Actions - Added Heatmaps to the quick actions section on the dashboard for faster navigation

March 23, 2026

New Features

  • Buyer Clicks Heatmap Layer - See exactly what buyers click before purchasing. A new "Buyer clicks" layer on heatmap detail pages filters the click heatmap to only show clicks from visitors who completed a purchase, helping you understand what drives sales on each page. Includes total revenue, buying sessions count, and AOV stats. Available on Pro and Business plans

March 15, 2026

New Features

  • Heatmaps - Visualize where visitors click, rage-click, and scroll on your store pages. Full-page screenshot capture with desktop, tablet, and mobile views. Includes element-level click tracking, scroll depth analysis, and anchor-mapped element identification

February 6, 2026

Improvements

  • Session-Based Limits - Plan limits are now counted by unique sessions instead of individual page views. One visitor session with multiple pages counts as 1 session, making limits more fair and predictable
